Landerrouet-sur-Ségur: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Moulin de Loubens was partially listed as a historic monument on 16 March 2000. The protection covers the stone access bridge, the remains of the adjacent old paved road, the masonry riverbanks, the lock with its mooring bollards, the former boat hauler’s house, and the façades and roofs of the mill house.

The structure is a grain mill, part of which lies within the territory of Landerrouet-sur-Ségur. The main construction phases of the Moulin de Loubens date from the 14th, 15th and 19th centuries.

Culture

Notre-Dame de Landerrouet-sur-Ségur stands on the edge of the plateau above the Ségur valley. The church probably dates from the 14th century and has a single-nave layout with a polygonal apse. The recently restored wood panelling revealed a stencilled painting from the 18th century. In the porch, a window offers a very beautiful panoramic view over the Ségur valley.

Geographical setting

The municipality of Landerrouet-sur-Ségur extends into the Drot valley. The Ségur stream forms its western boundary before flowing into the Drot.

Trails

Stage 10 of the Chemin d’Amadour from Sauveterre-de-Guyenne to Monségur leads to Landerrouet-sur-Ségur and then continues along marked paths between vineyards and forests to Couthures-sur-Drot.

On the section of the Chemin d’Amadour through Landerrouet-sur-Ségur, the route turns right at the town hall onto the D21, then left after 70 metres onto the Route de Château Madame, and left again onto the Chemin Le Portail. After 850 metres, continue right along a marked path between vineyards and forests.

Traditions

The Chemin des crèches ends in Landerrouet-sur-Ségur, where visitors can discover a new exhibition. The nativity scene exhibition in Landerrouet-sur-Ségur featured a large Christmas village in the sacristy and a free tour.
