The 9 km-long Boucle des crêtes begins in Villamblard in front of the town hall. The route follows wide, easy-to-walk paths lined with chestnut and pine forests.

History and culture
The Lavoir du Buguet is a former washhouse that has recently been restored. The hall in Villamblard was built in the 19th century as a replacement for the former castle hall. Its cleverly arranged pillars give it a classical appearance despite its irregular layout.
The Croix de la Passion is a wrought-iron cross whose decoration includes the instruments of Christ's Passion. Since the beginning of the 19th century, it has towered over Villamblard's market square.
Until the end of the 18th century, Villamblard was an important town and a significant stopping point halfway between Bergerac and Périgueux, as well as a stage on the Way of St. James.
In the centre of Villamblard stands the Château de Barrière, a medieval fortress that bears the same name as the Château de Barrière in Périgueux. The château tells its own story and presents extensive collections dedicated to the heritage of the Périgord, including fossils, prehistoric artefacts and cast-iron objects.
In front of Villamblard's cultural centre are the historical exhibits presented under the name “Les chaudières”. The four forges of the Crempse Valley manufactured cannons for the Royal Navy, as well as boiler vessels for sugar factories in the Antilles.
Craftsmanship
The Clovis Reymond distillery in Villamblard was founded in 1834. Fruit is distilled there on site in old copper stills and processed into spirits, liqueurs, aperitifs and syrups.
In July and August, the distillery offers a free guided tour with tasting from Monday to Friday, preferably at 10:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Tours are available year-round by appointment.
