The officially designated Site du cingle de Trémolat encompasses Calès, Mauzac and Trémolat. At the Cingle de Trémolat, the Dordogne forms broad meanders along the limestone slopes, known as “cingles”. Calès has a Romanesque church dating from the 12th century. The church contains a wooden statue of the Virgin Mary from the 15th century, classified as a cultural heritage object.
