Saint-Pierre-de-Frugie is located in the Périgord Limousin Regional Natural Park and on the Way of St. James via the Vézelay route. The very hilly, heavily wooded municipality is also a place between September and October where numerous visitors can hear the stags roaring.

Nature
The Jardins de Frugie offer insights into permaculture. They include a herb spiral, square vegetable beds and a maze with small fruit, whose fruits can be sampled. A circular path leads around a pond; there are also play facilities for children and nesting boxes for various bird species.
Trails and activities
The Boucle des trois Châteaux is a 16.0 km, moderately difficult circular hike starting in Saint-Pierre-de-Frugie. For longer routes, there is La Grande Boucle du Parc: it covers at least 200 km through the plateaus and valleys of the Périgord, the Limousin bocage and chestnut forests, and is intended for mountain bikers and hikers. The route begins in the municipality of Saint-Pierre-de-Frugie.
The Ecocentre du Périgord-Limousin is also one of the recommended points of contact. It offers training in ecological construction and permaculture and holds workshops for families on Wednesdays.
Culture and history
The Château de Frugie has been listed as a historic monument since 21 March 1968 because of its façades and roof. The Château de Vieillecour is visible from the road but is not open to the public.
The burial chapel of Saint-Pierre-de-Frugie was built in 1839, destroyed during the 1999 storm and rebuilt from 2008 onwards on the initiative of the municipality.
Local life
Every Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the Marché de Frugie takes place in front of the Le Frugie association bar in the centre of Saint-Pierre-de-Frugie. It is organised by the Rencontres Citoyennes collective. Local producers and craftspeople offer products to take away or enjoy on site.
