The church of Prats-du-Périgord is documented as early as 1053 and was mentioned again in 1153 under the name Santa Maria de Pratis. It features an imposing bell gable on the façade with four bell openings, as well as a defensive chamber above the apse. The church is classified as a historic monument.

The château of Prats-du-Périgord is privately owned. The residential building was rebuilt in the 16th century in the Renaissance style.

Nature and trails
Since 2009, Prats-du-Périgord has had a Nordic walking park with signposted circular routes and information boards. The Parcours de santé is also located near the town centre in a green setting. The circuit is 500 metres long, includes changes in elevation and has 12 stations.

Prats-du-Périgord is located in the “pays du châtaignier”, the land of chestnut trees. The source of the La Lemance river is located on the outskirts of the town. The river winds through valleys and villages and, after 31 kilometres, flows into the Lot at Monsempron-Libos.
