At the Barrage de Miallet, a paved path approximately 8 kilometres long runs around the reservoir. It can be used on foot or by bicycle. Both resident and migratory waterbirds can regularly be seen at the Retenue de Miallet; the reservoir also has an ornithological observatory.

The Boucle de l'Étang de Miallet is an easy 8-kilometre circular hike with an average duration of around two and a half hours. The La Coquille–Miallet stage is also part of the Grande Boucle du PNR.
Along many sections of the eastern bank of the Haute Vallée de la Dronne, visitors can walk freely on foot.
Culture and History
Mialet's architectural heritage can be explored on foot; the town centre is arranged around four tree-lined squares. The Hôtel Barby contains a carved 15th-century door that came from the former Chapelle Saint Jean.
