The Church of Saint George, Sacré-Cœur in Zimmerbach has a choir that preserves structural elements from the 13th century. The nave was rebuilt in 1879. Next to the church stands a small former building for laying out the dead, dating from 1619. The forecourt of the church was redesigned in 2016 to improve accessibility.

Culture
The present-day Chapelle des Frères is a masonry chapel measuring 13 metres in length and 7 metres in width. Mass is celebrated there on 1 May and on the Feast of the Holy Cross; the chapel remains a sacred place.
The Oratoire ZEH is dedicated to Our Lady of Perpetual Help. The Oratoire Saint Antoine contains a cross with trefoil-shaped arms dating from 1734. The Oratoire Baffrey-Thorr dates from 1812 and contains a statue of Saint Thérèse. The oratory dedicated to Saint Odile was rebuilt in 1994 from mortared rubble stone by the Zimmerbach section of the Club Vosgien de Turckheim.
History
Zimmerbach is first mentioned in 1234 in a letter from Heinrich Von Thun, Bishop of Basel. The two parts of Zimmerbach were finally united into a single village on 21 May 1842. Zimmerbach probably developed as a settlement around a fortification built by the Austrians to protect their borders. An old religious book from 1514 mentions a hermitage called “Zimmerbächlein” in connection with the 13th century.
Landscape
The Circuit des oratoires offers an impressive view of Zimmerbach and the “Im Berg” vineyard. Next to the oratory are spoil heaps from former mines dating from 1475; the mineralisation consists of copper and iron.

Alphonse Meyer & Fils in Zimmerbach offers cellar tours and tastings of its wines. Tours are available for individual visitors as well as groups by appointment; tastings are free for private individuals and subject to a charge for groups.
