Culture and History
The Château du Pflixbourg is first mentioned in 1220. The Thurnburg, dating from the 13th century, is now Wintzenheim’s town hall and was long referred to as a “castle”.
In the Logelbach district, the Herzog Chapel is a rare example of French Neo-Gothic architecture in Alsace and is listed in the supplementary inventory of historic monuments. Also located in Logelbach is the parish church, which was the first church in Alsace and the second in France to be built from reinforced concrete. It is neoclassical in design and decorated with numerous stucco works and moulded ornaments.

Near La Forge, in Wintzenheim’s municipal forest, lies the Vallon d’Aspach, with three fishponds, a forest house, picnic areas and a botanical educational trail.
