Thann is the starting point of the famous Alsace Wine Route. The Rangen vineyard covers 18.5 hectares and is classified as Grand Cru across its entire area. Thann is home to the southernmost vineyard in Alsace.
A wine education trail runs through the Rangen, with 18 information panels and its own trail markers. It includes an easy 3 km family route as well as a more demanding 5 km route to the Croix du Rangen.
