Culture
The protected Jewish cemetery Cimetière israélite is located in Im Gucker in Hagenthal-le-Bas. By decree of November 4, 1992, it was added to the register of historic monuments.
The Chapel of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross was built in 1842 or 1844 on the site of an earlier wayside cross and was a popular pilgrimage destination in the 19th century. The standing statues of Saint Peter and Saint Paul from the 19th century are listed in the supplementary inventory of protected movable cultural heritage.
The former château of the Eptingen family has a square building section from the 16th or 17th century with three stories above a basement level, as well as a bay window with tracery windows. The surviving building on Rue de la Synagogue bears visible traces of the Almemor and the Torah niche.
In the vicinity of Hagenthal-le-Bas are Binningen Castle and Wartenberg – Vordere Ruine. Further afield in the region are the ruins of Neu Schauenburg, Istein Castle, Munzenberg, Mont Terri, Steinenberg, and Etang des Coeudres.
Nature
The landscape around the village of Hagenthal-le-Bas offers numerous viewpoints over the semi-open agricultural landscape of the surrounding area; most of the viewpoints face the valley.
The Lertzbach crosses Hagenthal-le-Bas from west to east and rises within the municipal area. It has well-developed riverside vegetation which, together with the stream, is considered one of the most important ecological areas in Hagenthal-le-Bas.

The Hagenthal–Neuwiller hike passes through a former lordship and a border bottleneck that is one kilometer wide at its narrowest point. Five cycling loops have starting points in Hagenthal-le-Bas, among other places.
