Durningen: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
The Chemin des Croix is a 10.7 km hiking trail with 210 metres of elevation gain, blue ring markings and a stated duration of 3 hours. It is an easy, family-friendly circular route with picnic areas and play areas for children along the way.

Paths and History
The Chemin des Croix passes through the village centres of Durningen, Kienheim, Rohr and Gougenheim and includes 37 Calvaries and rural wayside crosses. Along the route, visitors can also see a chapel dating from 1524, dedicated to Saint Lawrence.
Culture
The Église Saints Pierre et Paul de Durningen is first mentioned in 1321. Its nave dates from the second half of the 18th century. Its furnishings include four stained-glass windows made by Ott frères of Strasbourg in 1893, as well as the Stiehr-and-Mockers organ, created in 1861 and restored in 2008 by organ builder Alfred Kern. The church's large roof and surrounding wall were renewed in 2017; the Calvary near the entrance was also renewed that same year.
La Rosschwemm is a former horse bath at the entrance to Durningen on the road to Schnersheim. La Rosschwemm and the washhouse directly beside it are visited by walkers and horse riders.
Landscape and Nature
La Wiewash was renovated on a landscaped slope and offers unobstructed views across the Kochersberg. A small pond was created below it to restore a peaceful biotope.
Around 45 bird species, as well as European roe deer, squirrels and hares, can be observed in Durningen. At 245 m, Durningen is the highest village in the Kochersberg and offers walkers unobstructed views across the plain.
