Barr is home to the Folie Marco, a museum housed in a large residence that is partly stately and partly bourgeois. On display are bourgeois Alsatian furnishings from the 17th to the 19th century, from the Renaissance to the Restoration, complemented by faience, porcelain and pewter collections as well as local memorabilia.
The Protestant Church of Saint-Martin preserves the four lower levels of its tower from a Romanesque church dating from 1180. It also has a restored Stiehr organ, which is classified as a historic monument. The Hôtel de Ville was built in 1640 by the city of Strasbourg on the site of the medieval Kleppenburg castle. Behind the town hall, a section of 14th-century wall has been preserved on Rue des Bouchers as the last remnant of the feudal castle.

Wine
The first wine fair in Alsace took place in Barr in 1906. The Kirchberg gave its name to a Grand Cru, a wine produced exclusively here.
The Caveau Lorentz Klipfel offers groups tours of its wine cellars with oak barrels and its museum. Guided wine tastings are available for groups; individuals can discover the winery's wines by reservation.
Paths and Landscapes
The Three Castles Hike in Barr leads to medieval ruins. The Barr wine trail allows visitors to discover the history of vines and wine. The Sentier des Amandiers offers a tree-lined footpath back towards Barr town centre.
The “Loop around the Parks and Gardens” cycle route runs around Barr, Obernai and Rosheim through vineyards, forests and the plain. The Jardin de la Folie Marco offers views of the Kirchberg vineyard, the Alsatian plain and the Black Forest.
