Bourgheim: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
In Bourgheim, the Church of Saint-Arbogast stands on a hill at the site of a Gallo-Roman structure. It has a four-storey Romanesque tower and a Romanesque choir. The church continues to be used jointly by the Catholic and Protestant denominations; this simultaneum is still in effect.

Culture
The Bourgheim area has been inhabited since the 1st century. On the southern side of the Church of Saint-Arbogast, a Romanesque portal that once led to the cemetery has been preserved. The south portal has a semicircular lintel dating from around 1150, decorated with two symmetrical Jesse trees. The Fortin of Bourgheim protected the road and the guard post on the Kirneck.
Landscape
Bourgheim lies on the Kirneck and on a loess terrace above the Bruch de l’Andlau. Wine has been grown on the slopes of the Piedmont near Bourgheim for a long time.
Local Life
The Domaine Lutz winery welcomes visitors to its cellar in Bourgheim for complimentary wine tastings and can accommodate groups. Every year, EARL Beiner opens its doors over the Pentecost weekend for the traditional “Pique-nique chez le vigneron”.
The Saint Martin’s market took place on 4 November near Bourgheim Town Hall.
