The landscape around Skaverup is intact and displays several clearly distinct forms. North of the former Skaverup Nor lies a higher moraine area, up to 16 metres above the former sea inlet. The area between Næs-Skaverup and Avnø is relatively steeply sloping. Coastal cliffs occur along the coast north of Næs and Skaverup Beach. These differences are interesting when planning your days: There are good opportunities for hiking and cycling along the coast and in some of the surrounding forests, while the shore areas and the dike offer different impressions.

The view also changes the character of a stay. From the Næs-Skaverup area, you can experience sunsets over Knudshoved. This is a specific reason not to plan a day trip solely around sporting objectives, but also to allow time for the later part of the day. At Næs, at the end of Avnø Fjord, there was a small settlement during the Late Iron Age and the Viking Age where Viking ships could moor. This historical trace complements the nature experiences with a glimpse into the former use of the coastal landscape.
