Holiday apartment in Slopné: nature, educational trail and pilgrimages
Slopné lies in the valley of the Horní Olšava stream and features a hilly landscape that is largely forested. With the Josefa Váňa Educational Trail, protected natural areas, Rochus pilgrimages and a preserved technical landmark, the village brings nature and deeply rooted culture together within a compact area.
Nature
The southern part of Slopné belongs to the Bílé Karpaty Protected Landscape Area. The northern part of the cadastral territory of Slopné lies in the Vizovické vrchy Nature Park. The landscape comprises a mosaic of woodland, fields and meadows. There are also naturally winding paths and numerous views across the landscape. Čertovo kopyto is a remarkable natural feature in Slopné.

Culture and traditions
The Church of St Roch in Slopné was consecrated on 14 July 1996 by Olomouc Archbishop Jan Graubner and belongs to the parish of Újezd as a filial church. The small pilgrimage takes place every year on the second Sunday in July to mark the anniversary of the consecration of the new church. The major pilgrimage takes place on the third Sunday in August for the feast of St Roch. The stone Chapel of St Roch, built or completed in 1824, is also part of the religious heritage.
A roller mill from the 19th century has been preserved in Slopné as a technical monument. The roller mill was restored in 1991 and continues to operate as a commercial mill. Ore was mined in Rudovka below Klokočí. The traditions handed down over time also give the village its distinctive character: every year, Slopné holds a carnival procession with masks, known today as Fašanky and formerly as Babkovníci. The Easter traditions of Klepačka and Mrskačka have also survived.
Winter
The ski slope at the Slopné ski lift is approximately 400 m long and has an elevation difference of 90 m. Thanks to artificial lighting, it is also possible to ski at the Slopné ski lift in the evening.
