Holiday apartment in Roštín – Trails, chapel and Brdo

The blue-marked route Roštínským polesím begins in the centre of Roštín. It is 5 km long and runs southeast of the village along paved and unpaved field and forest paths. The route is suitable for families with children; it includes a stop at the Roštínská Chapel, directly beneath which a spring with fresh, clean water rises.

Activities

The K lípě u Roštína educational trail combines playful and educational elements for children. There is a rest area at one signpost and a bench with an information board at the end of the trail. Thus, the trail comprises not only the route itself but also clearly designated stops.

Koupaliště Roštín has a 25 m long swimming pool with three massage jets and a water attraction. The complex also has a 4 m long children's pool with a fish-shaped water attraction, as well as a beach sports court.

Nature

The Roštínská Chapel is a forest chapel with a statue of Our Lady of Loreto. It has stood in the forest behind Roštín since 1907. From the chapel, visitors can extend their walk along the forest path on the yellow-marked route to Bunč or on the green-marked route to Brdo.

The hiking route from Roštín to Brdo is 7 km long as a round trip and has an elevation gain of 278 m. The 23.9 m high Brdo lookout tower stands on the eponymous peak, which at 587 m is the highest summit of the Chřiby Mountains.

Culture

Regular church services are held at the Kostel sv. Anny church in Roštín. Between Roštín and Cetechovice, at a now-abandoned site on a small hill, there is a distinctive structure. This structure has had its current form since 1742, when it was almost completely rebuilt.

The starting point for the hike to Brdo is in the Salárna district, near Koupaliště Roštín. Parking is available there. Roštín can be reached by car or bus.
