Przno: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Pržno lies in the valley of the Vsetínská Bečva. The Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary is the centre of the Roman Catholic parish in Pržno. Its foundation stone was laid in 1886, and construction was completed in October 1889; it was built on the site of a demolished, originally Gothic church dating from 1525.
Culture and History
The Neo-Gothic Protestant church in Pržno had its foundation stone laid on 5 July 1866 and continues to serve its purpose to this day. In 1783, the Protestant congregation built a small wooden place of worship, which was used until 1866. The congregation in Pržno is one of five congregations in the Czech Republic that preserve a sung Lutheran liturgical tradition.
Towards the end of the 20th century, some residents of Pržno made baskets from willow branches. Křiváky knives continued to be made there at home, and wooden tools were also produced.
In the wider regional surroundings of Pržno lies Lešná Chateau. The ruins of Lukov Castle and Starý Světlov, as well as the Church of Svatá Marie, are also located in the wider regional surroundings of Pržno.
Landscape
A commemorative lime tree stands in the village square in front of the Catholic church. It is at least 300 years old.
