Zašovice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

South of Zašovice lies Salátův kopec within the municipality’s cadastral area. It reaches an elevation of 661 metres above sea level. The predominant habitat is submontane mat-grassland without juniper; the locality covers 8 hectares.

Culture and History

The Chapel of the Virgin Mary in Zašovice is designated as a cultural monument. The Chapel of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, dating from the 19th century, stands in Zašovice village square.

The Zašovice coin hoard was discovered in the 18th century. It contains at least four solidi attributed to Zeno (twice), Anastasius I and Justinian I.

Trails and Chaloupky

The “Zašovice, Nová Brtnice” bus stop is 150 metres from the centre of Chaloupky. A green-marked bridleway runs through the built-up area of Zašovice and the adjacent area. There are also two equestrian stations in Zašovice along this green-marked bridleway.

The “Lesní naučná stezka Chaloupky” educational trail includes the “Urbánkův palouk” natural monument as one of its stops. Its subject matter covers ecology, nature conservation, botany, ornithology and forest management.

Near Nová Brtnice, the Chaloupky centre offers week-long programmes as well as weekend and holiday events. Zašovice and Nová Brtnice are shown in the map section of the “Lesní naučná stezka Chaloupky” educational trail.

Agriculture in Zašovice

Farma Zašovice is a fully operational agricultural enterprise focused on producing dairy products. In the 2026/2027 school year, Farma offers educational programmes including a farm tour and practical activities such as caring for, feeding and milking animals.
