Vysoké Studnice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Above Vysoké Studnice lies the religious complex with the Church of the Most Holy Trinity and the cemetery in a prominent location. The parish church is a single-nave, oriented building with a polygonal apse enclosing the presbytery.

Culture and History

The late Renaissance church dates from 1605 and was consecrated to the Holy Trinity in 1665. Alterations were made in the third quarter of the 17th century, at the beginning of the 18th century and in 1888; the building was renovated in 1998 and 2007. The cemetery around the church was established in 1720. It includes three cemetery chapels with square floor plans and tent roofs covered with wooden shingles. The cemetery has a pedestrian entrance at its southwestern corner and an access gate approximately in the middle of the eastern perimeter wall.

The statue of Saint John of Nepomuk is also part of the local cultural heritage: it is registered as protected cultural heritage, bears registration number 29619/7-5411 and has been protected since 4 January 1973.

Pilgrimage and Tower

A pilgrimage to the Holy Trinity takes place at the parish church. The church tower offers sweeping views of the surrounding area. The tower is currently not regularly open to the public; however, borrowing a key can be arranged.

Location and Transport

Vysoké Studnice is located 10 km east of Jihlava on the old road to Brno. The road connection is also good in winter. On weekdays, there is an adequate bus service to Vysoké Studnice, while only a few buses run at weekends.
