Panenska Rozsicka: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

North of Panenská Rozsíčka, the Moravská Dyje rises in a meadow between forests, two kilometres north of the village, below Hřeben Hill at an altitude of 653 metres.

Nature

Depending on the season, spring snowflakes, primroses, daisies, carnations and a yellow iris bloom at the source. Around the school and in the village square of Panenská Rozsíčka, there are around eleven stately linden trees.

Culture and history

At the source stand the sculpture “Jarní studánka” and the blue-and-white tree sculpture “Zrození”; together, they form the first station of Kristkova podyjská glyptotéka, a trilateral artistic pilgrimage route that runs through the Czech Republic, Austria and Slovakia, was created by Lubo Kristek in 2005–2006, and comprises sculptural stations.

The oldest mention of Panenská Rozsíčka is presumed to date from 1351. From 1538, part of the village belonged to Nová Říše Monastery, while the other part, together with Bezděkov and Stejští, belonged to the Vencelík estate of Třešť.

A school was founded in Panenská Rozsíčka; the new school building was consecrated on 31 October 1909. Penzion Dyje was created through the extensive renovation of the local school building. Other visible historical witnesses include cast-iron crosses on granite pedestals: one was erected in 1851, and a similar one stands in the lower part of Panenská Rozsíčka and bears the carved year 1864.

Trails

Near Panenská Rozsíčka, a green-marked hiking trail leads from Třešť to the source of the Moravská Dyje. Cycle Route 5091 also passes through the village and then continues for 2.1 km to the source.
