Dvorce: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Dvorce lies on both sides of the historic regional border between Bohemia and Moravia. This special geographical setting is part of a landscape in which the Jihlava River forms the eastern boundary of the cadastral area and a section of the Hubenov Reservoir lies in the northern part.

History

Dvorce was first mentioned in 1360 as property of Želiv Monastery. In 1595, the city of Jihlava acquired the village and owned it until the mid-19th century.

Culture

A stone wayside shrine dating from 1735 stands in Dvorce's village square. The Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk is also located there. It was built in the Neoclassical style in 1862 and has been a protected monument since 1958. The wayside shrine in Dvorce was freely accessible in 2019.

Nature

There are rapids on the Jihlava River near Dvorce.

Routes

A red-marked hiking trail passes by the Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk. Another red-marked hiking trail leads from Rantířov via Pekelský mlýn to Dvorce, Cejle and Čeřínek. A local road also runs through Dvorce, connecting Cejle with road II/602.
