Routes through Horní Rápotice

The “In the footsteps of Gothic architecture” route runs mostly along roads as well as forest and field paths. As a cycling tour, it reaches Horní Rápotice after passing by Peruš Pond.

Winter routes

Winter cross-country skiing route C leads from Brunka through Horní Rápotice onward towards Háj and is 25.6 km long. A shorter version of the winter cross-country skiing route through Horní Rápotice is 11 km long.

Chapels and memorials

The Chapel of Our Lady of Lourdes stands in Horní Rápotice. It belongs to the Roman Catholic parish of Kaliště.

The brick roadside shrines stand on the southern edge of Horní Rápotice, on the road towards Humpolec. They have a square rubble-stone base topped by a brick rectangular shaft. The roadside shrines bear a somewhat wider, solid chapel with a gabled roof and a large niche with a round-arched vault.

The memorial stone bears an engraved Greek cross on its front, along with other symbols that probably depict a shuttle and a wheel. According to tradition, the memorial stone was erected in memory of a weaver who was run over by a cart.
