Vrbičany: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Vrbičany combines a late Baroque château with small cultural and historical points of interest and specific opportunities for outdoor activities. The focal point is Vrbičany Château, whose architecture, exhibitions and former park design shape the village just as much as the avenue leading towards Tělohunt.
Culture and History
Vrbičany Château is a late Baroque château built between 1786 and 1789. It is a single-storey building with a projecting central section designed as a two-storey structure. Next to the château is a gloriette, meaning a garden pavilion.
The château displays paintings and graphic works by the academic painter Vladimír Veselý. It also apparently currently houses the largest historical pram exhibition in the Czech Republic. The collection comprises more than 222 exhibits and comes from the collections of Hanka Müllerová and Eva Vaněčková.
Vrbičany Château probably stands on the site of a medieval fortress. It was accompanied by an English and a French park. In the château park, visitors can also try washing Bohemian garnets.
Vrbičany is also home to a Neoclassical niche chapel from the first half of the 19th century, listed under catalogue number 1000154623.
Landscape and Outdoor Activities
The municipality of Vrbičany has renovated the avenue towards Tělohunt as far as the landfill and installed outdoor fitness equipment there. Along the avenue towards Tělohunt, visitors can exercise while enjoying views of the České středohoří Mountains.
By Bike
A 25.5 km cycling tour through Doksany and the surrounding area follows a 6 km section with only a slight incline to the municipality of Vrbičany.
Access to the Château
The official route to Vrbičany Château from Chotěšov pod Házmburkem railway station continues for another 4 km on foot. By bus, travel to Vrbičany and then walk another 600 metres to Vrbičany Château.
