Proboštov: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The “Brittánka” recreational trail is suitable for walkers, joggers, cyclists and inline skaters and includes a viewpoint with a panorama of the Bohemian Central Highlands.

Trails

A green-marked hiking trail runs through Proboštov from the railway station via the forest park and along the dam of Proboštovský rybník. Proboštov railway station is on the Děčín–Klášterec nad Ohří line; all passenger trains stop there.

Nature

Proboštovský rybník was drained, dredged and revitalized in autumn 2021 after many years. Its dam is 228 metres long, and the water surface covers approximately 5 hectares. Water plants such as cattails and large clumps of bright yellow yellow irises grow by the pond; flocks of ducks and a pair of swans with cygnets can be seen on the water.

Leisure

The Proboštovský forest park has three play and exercise areas with outdoor fitness equipment, as well as new play elements for the youngest children. The educational and play trail in the Proboštovský forest park provides information about the fauna, flora, history and present of the Proboštovský forest park and Proboštovský rybník. The Proboštovský forest park was reopened to the public in April 2019.

The Proboštov disc golf course has nine holes; playing there is free of charge.

Events

Antonínská pouť is a traditional pilgrimage held at the Pohodlíčko site in Proboštov. At Antonínská pouť 2022, there were fairground rides, a shooting gallery, other attractions and market stalls.
