Miřejovice: Holiday apartments and houses

The cadastral area of the municipality of Miřejovice lies within the České středohoří Protected Landscape Area. Plešivec, also known as Ledový vrch (Ice Hill), is a wooded volcanic basalt cone.

Villagescape and history

The only preserved historic monument in Miřejovice is a wayside cross by the road, restored in 2008. The village also retains late Neoclassical brick houses from the second half of the 19th century.

Until the 19th century, the history of Miřejovice was connected with Kamýk Castle. A historic road guarded by Kamýk Castle led from Litoměřice through Miřejovice over the saddle between Plešivec and Bídnice to Libochovany and onward to the regional border.

Routes and leisure

The educational trail “Naučná stezka skřítka Portáše – Porta Bohemica – Krajem pověstí a zážitků” connects all the municipalities in the microregion, including Miřejovice. It is 30 km long in total and has 16 stops.

Cycle route 3058 leads east from the Litoměřice-Knobloška junction to Miřejovice and continues around the Kamýk summit northwards to the Babinské louky natural monument. In Velké Žernoseky, cycle route 3058 branches off from the Elbe Cycle Route 2; near the Babinské louky natural monument area, it connects with cycle route 3057.

For outdoor leisure, Miřejovice offers a tennis court and a children's playground.

Agriculture and events

Traditional agriculture in Miřejovice included fruit growing and viticulture; pears, apples, plums and walnuts were cultivated.

The Vyhnívák cycling competition is held regularly in Miřejovice. In 2024, there was a “Putovní kino”; for Saturday, 15 August 2026, a “Letní kino” was planned from 9 p.m. at the sports field, showing the Czech film “Po večerce” and with refreshments provided.
