Dobrná: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

One of Dobrná’s landmarks is the Sokolí vrch observation tower. It is located 506 metres above sea level. In clear weather, the view extends to Děčín and the Sněžník observation tower on the border between the Czech Republic and Germany.

Nature

Dobrná Hill is located in the vicinity of the village of Dobrná. Anyone travelling by bus to the Sokolí vrch observation tower can get off at the Dobrná, obecní úřad stop and walk back about 200 metres to the turn-off that leads directly to the tower.

Culture

The Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk in Dobrná was built in 1747. It is a rectangular building from the 19th century with a lower masonry section and an upper half-timbered section. Restoration work helped restore the chapel’s historic appearance, as documented by a painting from the Second World War period.

A memorial in Dobrná commemorates the victims of the Second World War. The history of the municipal mill also stretches far back: it was built in 1525, burned down and rebuilt in 1714. The former mill building stands in the southern part of Dobrná on the road from Dobrná to Děčín, on the right bank of the Dobrnský stream.

The surroundings of Dobrná include Netterskoppe Hill, the historic site of Hirniskretzschen and Vrabinec Hill. In the wider region around Dobrná are Střekov Castle, Kozí vrch Hill, Hohnstein Castle and the historic site of the ruins of Wehlen Castle.
