Rumburk: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Rumburk combines sacred architecture, urban history and geological insights with a circular trail around Dymník and a cycle route along the Mandava.

Culture and Sacred History

The Loreta Rumburk is a Baroque sacred complex open year-round. Guided tours with commentary are offered there; at the same time, the Loreta is a stop on the international Via Sacra pilgrimage route.

The original wooden Church of St. Bartholomew was built at the end of the 12th or beginning of the 13th century; its oldest written mention dates from 1352. The church hosts classical music concerts and other cultural events. The townscape also features the Holy Trinity Column, an early Baroque sandstone column with a statue of the Immaculata dating from 1681.

Urban History and Geology

At the Rumburk Museum, the “Střípky z historie” exhibition focuses on the history of the Rumbursko region and notable personalities from the area. The “Granitová krajina šluknovská” exhibition presents the geological history of the Šluknovský výběžek.

Trails and Cycling

The excursion along the Naučná stezka Dymník begins at Lužické náměstí in Rumburk, near the municipal information centre. The circular trail is approximately eight kilometres long, takes about three hours and is considered easy. The return route follows the yellow hiking trail markings and cycle route 3014 back to the town centre.

The approximately 40-kilometre-long Mandavská cyklostezka follows the course of the Mandava through Rumburk and continues to Žitava.
