Bžany: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Bžany combine natural and cultural attractions. On Supí vrch above Lbín, a preserved rocky steppe habitat is home to 22 known endangered species of higher plants.

Nature and Trails

The Supí vrch educational trail is approximately half a kilometre long and has four information boards. It ends at a panoramic information board offering views of the landscape of the Central Bohemian Uplands around its highest mountain, Milešovka, and of the Bílina valley.

Bukovická vyhlídka is situated in a natural setting near Bukovice and offers beautiful views of the surrounding landscape. It can be reached via local paths and is suitable for pedestrians and cyclists. The viewpoint is ideal as a destination for a short walk or as a stopover on longer hiking routes in the area around the municipality.

Culture and History

Bžany was first mentioned in written records in 1303. The Chapel of the Virgin Mary was built in 1760 in the High Baroque style and renovated in 1834 at the expense of Anton Rank, a farmer from House No. 1. To this day, it remains an important landmark of the municipality of Bžany.

Špýchar No. 3 preserves a self-contained farm complex with a dwelling house, granary, barn and farm buildings. The Baroque agricultural farm complex is an example of folk architecture from the second half of the 18th century and the early 19th century.

Local Connections

A bus stop on the Teplice–Kostomlaty pod Milešovkou route is located directly next to the Church of St. Lawrence.
