Sivice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

A marked cycle path runs through Sivice, leading north to the Moravian Karst and south to the protected historical zone of the battlefield of Austerlitz.

Nature

Sivický les is home to significant plant, fungi and animal species. This forest is home to Eurosiberian steppe oak forests and oak-hornbeam forests of the Galio-Carpinetum association.

A special natural feature is the old Šmigula pear tree in the Nové hory area: it was voted Tree of the Year in the Roketnice microregion.

Culture

A Baroque cross dating from 1772 stands on the road to Tvarožná. Near this Baroque cross, the Reconciliation Stone is considered the oldest monument in Sivice.

In 2012, a reredos with a painting, an altar and an ambo were installed in the chapel of Sivice. On Štumperk Hill stand wayside shrines listed as monuments. There is also a column-shaped wayside shrine from the 19th century beside a forest path, which is considered a cultural heritage monument.

Activities

The Sivice sports complex includes a multi-purpose court with artificial turf for tennis, volleyball and floorball. The Sivice sports complex also includes a football pitch.

Events

In Sivice, the Easter rattling tradition is observed from Maundy Thursday to Holy Saturday; rattles and rattling carts replace the bells during this period.

In Sivice, the Josefský košt in March is one of the local events. The Sivické pivní slavnosti in June are also among the local events.
