Rakovice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Rakovice chateau complex lies in the western part of the municipality; the chateau buildings are set in a park. Together with protected monuments, small religious buildings and distinctive paths, this creates a townscape in which history and landscape are closely interconnected.
Culture and History
The Vintíř Monument stands on the road from Rakovice to Mirotice. It is a protected monument and a stone sculpture in the form of a tall triangular pyramid. The Rakovice granary is also a protected monument.
After the Rakovice estate was acquired in 1714, Rakovice Chateau temporarily became the seat of the estate administration. Religious buildings include the chapel near Slavkovická hora, which is classified as a cultural monument. A niche chapel in Rakovice with a triangular gable and rich moulding was built in the 19th century. A chapel in Rakovice with Baroque elements was built in the second half of the 18th century. A niche chapel in Rakovice with Baroque forms was built around the middle of the 18th century and features fragments of wall paintings.
A historic event is also associated with the surrounding area: the German surrender was signed on 12 May 1945 in a mill located in the cadastral territory of the neighbouring municipality of Rakovice.

The Čimelicko-Rakovicko Landscape Monument Zone protects the cultural-historical, landscape-aesthetic and spatial values of the landscape around the chateau and farmyard in Rakovice.

The area around Rakovice is suitable for hiking. The marked Alšova stezka trail passes through the Rakovice section and is a 12 km route suitable for hikers and mountain bikers; the sights mentioned there include the former chateau and an avenue of ancient red oaks leading from Rakovice to the chateau park in Čimelice.
