Radslav: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Radslav is a holiday settlement on a peninsula behind Bližná, about 4 km from Černá v Pošumaví. The holiday settlement was established after the Lipno Reservoir was flooded, on the site of the former settlement of Ratschlag.
Landscape and Views
On the peninsula of Radslav, a well-known viewpoint is located on the summit, offering views across the surface of the Lipno Reservoir from Horní Planá to Kovářov and over the entire Šumava mountain range. The most challenging climb on the Okruh Jestřábí in Radslav is rewarded with a viewpoint overlooking Radslavská Bay and Vltavská Bay. The Okruh Jestřábí also includes the Radslavské odpočívadlo rest area with a view, which is an interesting point along the route.
Cycling at the Lipno Reservoir
The Okruh Jestřábí is 8 km long and can be completed by a family cycling at a leisurely pace in less than 50 minutes. The route to the ferry landing in Dolní Vltavice runs from Jestřábí via Radslav and Bližná. It passes through unspoiled nature along the right bank of the Vltava.
Culture and History
The reconstruction of the Radslav chapel was completed in September 1995. The Radslav chapel currently contains a map of Radslav's original buildings before they were flooded by the Lipno Reservoir.
The individually protected Lípa Radslav lime tree stands on the village square next to the local chapel.
Routes to Radslav
Two narrow roads lead to Radslav from Černá v Pošumaví: one via Bližná and one via Jestřábí.
