The Pláničský rybník is a nature reserve. It protects valuable populations of aquatic and riparian vegetation, as well as characteristic aquatic and wetland animals. Priority is given to protecting the population of the critically endangered aquatic plant stulík malý.

Routes and Trails

The “Klidová trasa z Horní Plané na Olšinu” leads from Muckov towards Plánička and then continues to Bližná. An interesting point along this route is the Olšina Educational Trail, which runs towards Plánička.

The Světlík Educational Trail is an easy trekking route measuring 26 km in length. It passes through Muckov, Světlík, Pasovary, the Bobovec peat bog, Pláničský rybník, Jámy and Plánička.

Plánička is a refreshment stop on the route, located 300 m off the trail towards Frymburk. The family cycling route “Rodinná cyklotrasa přes dva převozy: Frymburk-Plánička-Vltavice-Frýdava” also passes through the village.

History and Refreshments

The settlement of Plánička dates back to 1530. The Penzion Plánička restaurant offers specialities inspired by Czech and international cuisine, including trout and salmon. The restaurant also has an outdoor terrace overlooking the forest.
