Prachatice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The historic centre of Prachatice preserves its Renaissance appearance within a ring of city walls that are still relatively well preserved and was declared an urban conservation area in 1981.

The Prachatice Information Centre is located at Velké náměstí 1. Since 1991, the Golden Trail celebrations have taken place in Prachatice every year.

Culture

The exhibition “Prachatice – pohled do minulosti města” explores the history of Prachatice up to the mid-19th century and displays numerous artefacts from Prachatice. The Prachatické muzeum also exhibits original objects from the Golden Trail in a special display case.

The late Gothic Church of St James the Greater is located in Prachatice on Kostelní náměstí. Its historic doors at the main entrance date from the transition between the 15th and 16th centuries.

Chlumany is an ancient site in the wider regional surroundings of Prachatice.

Nature

The surroundings of Prachatice form a submontane upland. They are dominated by the 1,096-metre-high Mount Libín, which is located close to Prachatice, and continuously merge into the Šumava mountain range.

Leisure

The Hulák public swimming pool has three bodies of water: a swimming pool with four lanes, a relaxation pool and a children’s pool. In addition, there is a catch pool for a four-lane slide.

For adults, the Hulák public swimming pool offers beach volleyball, nohejbal and table tennis.
