Novosedly Nad Nežárkou: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Novosedly nad Nežárkou lies on a ridge with views of the Nežárka Valley and the wooded areas above Jemčina. The KP04 Kolence–Novosedly landscape unit consists of a gently undulating agricultural landscape bordered by belts of woodland.

Nature

The Nová řeka forms the southeastern boundary of the KP05 Mláka landscape unit. In Mláka, there is a frequently used campsite for canoeists on the Nová řeka.

In the immediate vicinity of Novosedly nad Nežárkou are Dehetník (Novosedly nad Nežárkou), a hill, and Lipčí (Novosedly nad Nežárkou-Kolence), also a hill. In the wider regional area are Homolka, a mountain, and Hůrka, a mountain.

Culture and History

The Church of Saint Wenceslas stands on the outskirts of Novosedly nad Nežárkou; it dates from 1867. In the central part of the village, it is one of the listed buildings.

The smithy on the village green of Novosedly nad Nežárkou dates from the 19th century. As a former smithy, it is a listed historic building. The Church of the Betrothal of the Virgin Mary was built by Vavřinec Habel between 1744 and 1769.

Čertova Šlápota is a named rock outcrop in the KP04 Kolence–Novosedly landscape unit. The large granite block lies in the forest south of Kolence, on the path to the Smitka forester's lodge at Rožmberský rybník; carved into the granite are the silhouette of a devil carrying a boulder above his head, as well as the years 1247 and 1896.
