Horní Němčice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
The Tříhrázný Pond lies about one kilometre southeast of Horní Němčice and has three dams. A local legend tells that a water sprite met the devil at what is now Tříhrázný Pond.
Culture and History
The monument erected in 1928 still stands in the village today. It commemorates the tenth anniversary of the founding of Czechoslovakia and those who fell in the First World War. A bust of T. G. Masaryk can be seen in the upper part of the monument.
Local History
Large granite quarries operated on the eastern slope of the Studenský potok stream in Horní Němčice. The quarry in Horní Němčice provided local residents with work and a livelihood. A metal bell tower stands by House No. 5 in Horní Němčice, while a niche chapel is located north of the village of Horní Němčice.
Landscape
The ridge between the Studenský potok and Bolíkovský potok streams in Horní Němčice forms the main European watershed between the Danube and the Elbe.

Horní Němčice lies on the main road from Studená via Dačice to Slavonice. Horní Němčice is suitable for walks and hikes.
