Architectural History in Slavkov

The stone tower of Slavkov Fortress has its original entrance on the first floor through a pointed-arch portal; the present entrance was added later. The fortress palace is a Renaissance building and incorporates part of the original Gothic fortification wall into its masonry.

Churches and Historical Evidence

The Church of St. Bartholomew in Slavkov was built in 1311 and consecrated in 1313. It was enlarged in 1800–1801, when the nave was added.

The Church of St. Peter and St. Paul in Svéraz is mentioned in records from 1358. The present church was created through a Baroque renovation in 1774–1775.
