In the centre of Zhoř village square stands a Marian chapel dating from 1715; the Chapel of the Virgin Mary is dated to the same year. On the outskirts of Zhoř, on the left when leaving in the direction of Kostelec, stands a Boží muka (wayside shrine) dating from 1654. The Boží muka is considered the oldest monument in the municipality of Zhoř.
History
Zhoř was first mentioned in 1239 and belonged to the Kladruby Monastery until 1850, and later to its estate. Since time immemorial, a road connecting Kladruby with Horšovský Týn has run through the centre of Zhoř.
