The BUTOV recreational resort is located in an attractive woodland setting on the shore of the Hracholuská Reservoir. Swimming, sailing and windsurfing are possible along the shore of the BUTOV recreational resort; anglers can also pursue their hobby there.

On the Water

The Plzeň excursion boat operates seasonally on the Hracholusky–Butov route and stops at the most important campsites. It has a capacity of 150 people and travels a 20 km route.

Cycle Routes

Cycle route 2222 runs from Výrov via Nový Dvůr, Nynkov, Řebří, Ošelín, Svojšín, Pytlov, Záchlumí, Kšice and Únehle to Butov. Cycle route 2214 passes by Butov.

History and Culture

Near Butov, a burial mound was excavated and reconstructed in 2013 by staff from the Západočeské muzeum v Plzni. The Butovská mohyla dates from the Middle Bronze Age, approximately the 16th to 14th century BC, and was excavated in 1936 by Professor and museum director Otto Eichhorn, who worked in Stříbro.

The Petrský les burial mound area comprises 25 burial mounds on the eastern slope of Soudný, above the southern shore of the Malovický potok and north of the Mže River.
