History and Culture

In the 16th century, Kříženec was incorporated into the Planá estate. During the First World War, a mica mine was opened on the outskirts of Kříženec. The “Lom Kříženec” site covers the history of mining near Kříženec.

A villa with turrets was built near the mica mine, resembling a small château. The “Křížový kámen - hraniční kříž” is a granite slab with a complex relief. Landscape
