Sytno: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Sytno combines a distinctive landscape feature with a history dating back to 1115. Sytenský rybník covers 17.4 hectares and is regarded as a defining landscape element of Sytno. When it was first mentioned in 1115, the place was described as property of Kladruby Monastery.

Nature and Outdoor Activities

The Naučná stezka Sytno educational trail is a 7.4 km circular route. A walking time of 1.5 to 3 hours is given; from the direction of Sytno, the trail can be used with a stroller. Cycle Route No. 37 also runs along a local road in the cadastral area of Sytno.

History and Culture

A visible testament to the local history is the Boží muka wayside shrine on the road from Sytno towards Sulislav. Its restoration began on 1 April 2006. The wayside shrine stands on the original foundations of an earlier structure.

Archaeological finds from Sytno are on display at the museum in Stříbro. Czech customs have also been preserved in Sytno.

Traditions and Local Events

On 24 February 2024, people in Sytno were invited to the Vepřové hody pork feast. At traditional Vepřové hody in Sytno, butchered pork products were sold and sampled on 17 December.
