Lomec: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The blue-marked hiking trail Svatojakubská cesta runs through the Lomec area.

Getting Around Lomec

Lomec and Novákovice are served exclusively by bus connections; the buses stop at the shared stop “Lomec, Novákovice, rozc. 0.4”. If you continue along the local road towards Luby, you can see Klatovy in the valley to the left of the road in good weather.

Nature

The Luňáky Nature Reserve protects the last remaining wet meadows in the Úhlava Basin. It also protects breeding sites and migration areas of protected and endangered animal species.

History

Lomec was first mentioned in 1358. The Lomec hillfort site is oval in shape and measures 20 × 24 metres. It lies on the southeastern edge of a currently drained pond; no wall remains have been preserved at the hillfort site.
