Liblín: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Liblín is considered to be a place first mentioned in writing in 1180. Liblín Castle was converted into a Baroque château in the 18th century and acquired its present Neoclassical appearance through later renovations.

Culture

Construction of the Church of Saint John of Nepomuk in Liblín began in 1751. The Liblín château grounds include an English landscape park and numerous Baroque sculptures. The Baroque Church of Saint John of Nepomuk is also part of the château grounds and is connected to the château building by a bridge.

The statue of Saint Margaret of Antioch in the former château park is a Baroque work dating from 1758. The bridge over the Berounka in Liblín is also a cultural monument. The château park is freely accessible to the public; during walks, visitors can view historic statues there.

Landscape

Liblín is located in the Berounka Nature Park. Its protected landscape includes the deeply incised valley of the Berounka and its tributaries, rock outcrops, adjacent forest complexes and agricultural land. The “Liblín – lihovar” site is a regionally significant wintering site for greater mouse-eared bats (Myotis myotis).

In the vicinity of Liblín, Berdovna is a mountain, Svatý Martin is a church and (Nad hřbitovem) [Kladruby-Hřešihlavy] is a hill. Bílý vrch [Kozojedy u Kralovic] is a hill in the immediate vicinity of Liblín. In the wider regional surroundings of Liblín are Týřov, a ruin, Holý vrch, a mountain, U Svatého Petra, a church, and Zřícenina Valdek, a ruin.

Hiking

On the “Berounka and Radnický potok Valley” circular hiking trail, the logs over the Radnický potok cannot be crossed; the stream must be forded.
