Kanice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
The village heritage zone of Kanice was designated on September 22, 1995, by Decree No. 249 of the Ministry of Culture. In the center of the northwestern part of the village, the Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk stands in front of House No. 18. The 18th-century building was added to the list of immovable cultural monuments on May 3, 1958.
Culture and History
Kanice Chateau is listed among the cultural monuments of the Czech Republic. It consists of four wings enclosing a square courtyard. The vaults in the east wing date from the Renaissance. Netřeb Castle was originally called Nový Rýzmberk.
Nature
In the Netřeb Nature Reserve, the natural scree slope forest is notable for the presence of the European yew (Taxus baccata). The oldest yews in the Netřeb area are estimated to be 720 years old.
Cycling and Hiking Trails
The Chudenice cycling loop is approximately 55 kilometers long and passes through Kanice. A yellow-marked hiking trail also leads from Kanice to the Netřeb Nature Reserve.
