Nemcice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

In Němčice stands the Brachtlův water mill, house number 7; it is a protected cultural monument.

Culture

As a former water mill, Brachtlův, house number 7, is located on a millrace of the Zlatý pásek stream. Partially preserved technical equipment dates from the late 19th century to the 1940s. Along this stream, there is now a historic mill system consisting of eight mills; nine mills once stood there.

Němčice is also home to a chapel of St John the Baptist from 1883. The village is also home to a unique former wooden coaching inn with a shingle-covered mansard roof.

Routes

The marked cycle route 4145 leads from Sloupnice via Vlčkov and Němčice (Člupek) to Svinná. In the eastern part of Němčice, a marked green hiking trail runs along road III/35851 towards Přívrat. A marked blue hiking trail also passes through Němčice and leads to the hamlet of MANDLU.

Landscape

Above Němčice lies Kolouška hill at an elevation of 394 m; from there, the broad view extends across the Svitavy District. From Zhořský kopec at an elevation of 542 m, the view extends across the Litomyšlsko region to Vysoké Mýto.

The area around Člupek offers walks through forests and to the Svinná valley. The sources of the Němčický potok, also called Zlatý pásek, are located near Člupek. Zlatý pásek is a stream.

Near Končiny, there is a pilgrimage chapel of the Virgin Mary beside a spring; a Stations of the Cross is located next to the pilgrimage chapel near Končiny. In winter, the area around Zhořský kopec is often visited by cross-country skiers.
