Vlčice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Vlčice combines a long-established local history with notable buildings and a diverse landscape. Vlčice Chateau is a former manor house dating from the second half of the 16th century and stands on the site of an earlier Gothic water castle. In 1829, it underwent a significant reconstruction in the Empire style. The park in front of the chateau contains a partially preserved pond that, together with the moat, formed part of the defensive system of this former water castle.
Landscape
The three cadastral areas of Vlčice cover 1,865 hectares. Their northeastern part belongs to the gently rolling Vidnava Lowland, while the rest of the area forms the foothills of the Rychlebské hory. The English landscape park around Vlčice Chateau was created by František Schaffgotsch in 1844–1845. The preserved chateau park is smaller than its original area of more than 40 hectares and still features many interesting old trees.
The Dolní les area in the cadastral territory of Vlčice contains extensive reed beds. Marsh harriers regularly breed there, and in recent years mute swans have also bred there. Reed warblers, reed buntings and grasshopper warblers occur in association with reed and bulrush stands.
Architectural Heritage and History
The parish church of St Bartholomew is an example of Baroque architecture from the first half of the 18th century and was remodelled in the Baroque style between 1732 and 1742. Vlčice is one of the oldest municipalities in the Jeseník area; a document from 1248 serves as evidence. The statue of Saint John of Nepomuk dates from the second half of the 18th century.

A signposted local cycle route runs through Vlčice. The educational trail along cycle route 6044 passes through Bílá Voda, Růženec, Letiště, Javorník, Račí údolí, Uhelná, Vlčice and Hraničky. In the Dolní Les district, Dolnoleský rybník serves as a natural outdoor swimming pool.
