Suchdol: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The pilgrimage church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary was rebuilt between 1806 and 1809. The main altar features a wooden Pietà dating from the mid-18th century; the original spring emerges beneath the main altar.

Landscape

Suchdol is located in the hilly section of the Drahanská vrchovina known as the Konická vrchovina. This landscape area features deeply incised valleys and breakthrough valleys.

Culture

On the village square in Suchdol stands a chapel dedicated to Saint John of Nepomuk, dating from 1885. In front of the chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk stands a stone cross dating from 1884. On the village square in Labutice, the chapel is dedicated to Saint Stephen the Protomartyr.

The Mlýn Jednov windmill is a Dutch-type windmill built in 1842. Today, it is privately used for recreational purposes and can only be admired from a distance.

Routes and Transport

The 36.6-kilometre cycling route “Za větrnými mlýny okolo Konice” runs through Jednov and Suchdol and is open year-round. A hiking route leads towards Suchdol, runs east of Suchdol, and then continues through the forest to Seč.

The nearest railway stations to Suchdol are Stražisko and Konice.
