Klokoci: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Klokočí shows its character where paths, historic buildings and local customs come together. Cycle Route No. 6173 passes through the village towards the last foothills of the Oderské vrchy and on to Radíkov and Středolesí.

Paths

A green hiking trail leads through Klokočí across the Bečva River, past the Bukoveček Nature Reserve and through the valley of the Krkavec stream to Teplice nad Bečvou. From Teplice nad Bečvou, the same green hiking trail continues to the Hranická propast, described as the deepest gorge in Central Europe.

In the centre of Klokočí, the U Jarky restaurant offers refreshments to cyclists and hikers before they continue on their way.

History

One of the oldest buildings in Klokočí is an old farmstead arranged in a closed square layout. Until 1923, it belonged to Countess Antonie Althanová.

The Hraběnčin statek is the oldest property in Klokočí and a former farmstead. A small wooden bell tower has also been preserved in Klokočí.

Traditions

The Klokočí Volunteer Fire Brigade organises the traditional Vodění medvěda procession. Vodění medvěda is an annual tradition in Klokočí in which a bear dances at the residents’ doors. At Klokočské srandobraní 2023, the local tradition was revived after a several-year interruption; the festival also included horseback rides.
