Třanovice: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Nature, culture and landscape can be experienced at several specific places in Třanovice. The „Discovering Třanovice“ nature trail consists of three colour-coded sections with eleven stations featuring information boards and three interactive boards.

Nature and trails

The Stonávka flows from south to north through the centre of Třanovice. Its banks are surrounded by remnants of floodplain forest and agriculturally used land. An estimated 60 to 65 regularly breeding bird species live in the Stonávka floodplain; a further 10 to 15 species use the area only during migration.

The Lesopark u řeky Stonávky by the river features seven additional information boards, play elements for children and pleasant places to rest. The former Kappl ponds at Mušalec serve as new biotopes, particularly for amphibians.

The Hipostezka v Pobeskydí is part of a network of Agrostezky approximately 30 kilometres long in the microregion of municipalities in the Stonávka river basin, and leads from Horní Tošanovice with branches towards Dolní Tošanovice and Třanovice.

Culture and history

The permanent exhibition at the Jiří Třanovský Memorial presents his life, work and legacy. It also explores their influence on culture, language and spirituality among the neighbouring Slavic peoples. A statue of Jiří Třanovský stands in front of the entrance to the Evangelical church.

One of Třanovice’s defining features is Kapplův dvůr, which returned to its traditional name after revitalisation. It houses a gallery of renewable energy sources and the “Green Centre” educational centre, where pupils take part in excursions focused on environmental education, instruction and awareness-raising.

The mountains of Ropička, Javorový and Ropica are located around Třanovice. Mount Kyčera lies in the wider region surrounding Třanovice. The Kończyce Małe – Zamek XV w. castle is also located in this wider region.
