Culture and Architectural History

The Vzorkovna in the lower part of Okrouhlá is attached to a former workshop for producing painted church windows. It is 18.6 metres high and has stone buttresses, tall pointed-arch windows and a low roof reminiscent of a chapel. The workshop and pattern room for cathedral windows in Okrouhlá dates from 1893.

The Baroque Chapel of Our Lady of the Snows in Okrouhlá was built in 1733 to replace an older wooden chapel. It stands on a base made of sandstone blocks and has a central floor plan based on the pattern of a five-pointed star. Its domed roof has a cylindrical lantern, five windows and a conical roof.

Cycling

Cycling route No. 3054 – Nová Huť–Provodín, game reserve, passes through the cadastral area of Okrouhlá. The route is 44 km long and suitable for all types of bicycles.

Geopark

The Okrouhlá Geopark is a small, circular educational trail located directly in the village of Okrouhlá. Information boards at the geopark explain the local rocks, show where visitors can find them in their original location in the surroundings of Okrouhlá, and provide tips for further trips in the area. The educational trail can be accessed free of charge all year round.

Landscape

The protected landscape areas of České středohoří and Lužické hory and the Ralská pahorkatina meet in the cadastral area of Okrouhlá.
