Culture and History

The State Museum of Glass and Jewellery in Jablonec nad Nisou combines glass and jewellery. The exhibition “Čarovná zahrada – české sklo sedmi století” presents glass there from antiquity to the present day in four chronologically successive sections. The exhibition “Nekonečný příběh bižuterie” traces the development of Jablonec jewellery from its beginnings to the present day.

The New Town Hall of Jablonec nad Nisou was built between 1931 and 1933 and has been a national cultural monument since 2024. In summer, visitors can climb the tower of Jablonec nad Nisou Town Hall on a guided tour. In the wider surrounding region of Jablonec nad Nisou lies Valdštejn Church.

Nature and Views

In 1906, Richard Fellinghauer built an excursion restaurant with an observation tower called “Zur Nickelkoppe” on Petřín. Petřín offers views over Jablonec nad Nisou, the reservoir and a large part of the Jizera Mountains.

The hiking trail “Za výhledy přes Petřín na Dobrou Vodu a Čertův kámen” leads across Petřín towards Dobrá Voda and Čertův kámen.
